    Finish up Autism Awareness Month by attending this eye opening talk about intellectual and developmental disabilities on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 6:00PM in the cafeteria. Representatives from The Arc of King County will provide an overview of disability rights, forms of disability, historical content, and respectful language. They will cover visible and invisible differences in ability, including neurodiversity. During the second hour, participants will break into groups based on area of interest led by The Arc members with disabilities as well as parents who are raising children with special needs. Participants will be able to ask questions about their life experiences. Founded in 1936, The Arc of King County advocates for the rights of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live, work and play in the community.
